Canes

The cane or walking stick is the simplest form of walking aid. If you have pain or weakness on one side of your body that makes it hard to walk or balance, a cane may be helpful. Your cane should be held in the hand opposite to a weak or painful hip, knee, or leg. The cane should be moved at the same time as your affected leg. As your main point of contact with your cane, the comfort of the grip is of singular importance. After you find the one with the right handle for you you can easily adjust the height of most canes to suit you.
